Duck at Gullane

Went for an early evening drive to Gullane last night on the east coast of Scotland. This was my first visit there and I'll definitely be back. Had a very pleasant walk along the beach then round by the wooded area. My plan was to get some seabird photos but they were too far offshore for my lens. Still I got a bird (of sorts!) and a photo of a sandwich tern.

I like the narrow depth of field you've got around the duck - it works well. And the way that you've caught the crashing wave in the background...

If you had not cited the RSPB link, I would have thought you'd made up the sandwich bit!

Said the mother tern to the baby tern,
"Would you like a brother?"
Said the baby tern to the mother tern,
"Yes - one good tern deserves another!"
